i dont want to sound lazy but ready mades have trasformed tackle boxes,no need to carry huge amounts of tackle just grab a rig wallet and of you go.plenty of torches as well i get that of me dad he had a torch in every pocket like golddust on a dark beach.always carry 2 pairs of scissors,am i the only one that takes a loo roll with them.never know if you get a runny nose and all that. ANOTHER thing i forgot i carry in my dry box.........5 sheets of kitchen roll, just in case that snively `nose` comes without warning Saved me a few times over the years! i carry absolutely everything i might need. but my rig wallet allows me to cut down big time on space. i have one of those large abu wallets. it alone holds: however many rigs i need.. upto 20 if not in individual bags, disgorger, scissors, 2 pairs of pliers, 2 spools of bait elastic, 2 rolls of electrical tape, power gum, split shot, pen knife, bait needle, floats, pain killers and a pack of tissues..... and thats just the front pocket! also carry about 5 spools of various leaders snood lines ect, tidetable book, swfsa handbook, tape measure and little box of bits.
as for the rest of it.... 3 reels usually, fillet knife, box of leads, 2 headlights (1 led and one petzl zoom) 2 rags, preist, camera.... and thats it i think!

I only use 2 rigs normally, so i have 25 pulley rigs and 25 2 hook rigs in a rucksack pocket. And 3 float set ups for samphire hoe, thats it. Apart from a few starlights/hook line/hooks and a knife. I never take a spare reel as a good shimano will (nearly) always treat you good. I do carry a well made fold up chair though, as i have a back problem, and cant sit on a box. The chair i use virtually guarantees i have a comfortable trip, which is more important than catching to a trainee cripple. ;D For quite a few years now, iv taken the absolute minimum of stuff, even when I'm carping with 3 rods, you just don't need all the rubbish
