Hi Pete, I've not encountered that one before. I'm not even sure of the general "advantage" of having a narrow spool. Weight I suppose.
What I have noticed is some really nasty "shill bidding" that is going on on Ebay. Just search for "abu 7000", you'll notice the same person upping the bids all the time. Definitley not on. Sorry about the rant.

This is currently the worst quality multiplier that ABU make - made to look like their good stuff. It's just a narrow version of the '7' which is equally rubbish. I wouldn't pay more than £25 for one of those.

I have one of these reels. Won it in a comp and I have to say I love it. The finish is not that great but then again I don't look after my gear very well, should wash it after every trip I know but don't always do it so the black paint fisnish is starting to bubble in places. I always get my reels serviced so I know the inside is ok. Works well on my uptider and as it is narrow you don't need loads of braid to fill it. I think Penn did a narrow spool reel just for braid. For that price on E-Bay I would buy another. Just my thoughts for what its worth. Dave
