I dont mind posting answers to questions or have a debate but I will not post catch reports from this isle as you only have to mention the species i.e a plaice and that will be that, nets out, even if you lie about the area it makes no difference the commercials will be on it. If you do start catching and post it, beware you could be shooting yourself and the next angler in the foot cause of miss use of these sites. I do not use the catch reports as guidence cause I do my own thing whatever the majority are doing. perhaps catch your fish and post it a month in arrears and help genuine anglers with a pm?

I do not use the catch reports as guidence cause I do my own thing whatever the majority are doing. perhaps catch your fish and post it a month in arrears and help genuine anglers with a pm? I do see your point mate, i`m not that worried about netters as many of my best spots are fast flowing and full of weed in the months i fish them, making it totally impossible for them to lay nets there. EBB TIDE......WEED.....BYE BYE NET! ;D ;D ;D Also if you post a report of a nice bass, any netter knows its of no interest to him as that's not of commercial interest to him, shoals are what they are after, as you all know! Besides, a boat cant get in the places i fish for bass ;D ;D ;D If i have stumbled on a good thing, i may be guilty by saying the beach i fish, just not the exact spot. If i want to go there the next night, i don't really like being confronted with 3/4 anglers already there or watching them turn up and fishing in my pockets, been there done that and learned from it! Like i say, most netters are after flattys, many of the less tidal beaches i fish for them, practically have nets in them 24/365 anyway so its nothing new to them, and the other marks, they can only dream of fishing them because of the tide rip. Without reports and pictures, the forums would die a horrible death like `AN` did (so i`m told) and that would be sad. I`m often careful to conceal the exact spot in some of my pictures.........don't want to make it too easy for people eh?

I've watched this post from the sidelines as it were, I appreciate where almost everyones coming from, all valid points Me & Dave (solehunter) locked out the catch report sections sometime ago after noticing alot of guests visiting the forum, they were obviously reading the catch reports. By locking out these catergories it forces guests wishing to view them to become members. In my eyes an inactive member viewing any section is better than a guest. These members over time hopefully will get a feel for the forum & maybe at some point introduce themselves & get involved. For the time this forums been up & running we have formed a really informative data-base, the more catch reports added, the more we have to refer to. The blanks are as important as the good ones. Everyones welcome & the more active members adding odds & sods the better off we all are I reckon!
