bit of advice here mate as im after a 2HP aswell. try searching wightbay and look in your freeads and any boat jumbles. small outboards are quite sought after and can be expensive, 200 quid for an old mariner chepest eninges are gonna be the seagull outboards. not trying to teach you to suck eggs here mate but check what shaft length u need for your dinghy before you buy tightlines, scott.

Seagulls are damn good engines. Not a lot to go wrong on them as they are practically just a carb and a head! Great engines.

Ohhhh, flashy one! I had the 2 horse with one gear.....Done me for years untill my brother put it down on the garage floor with the prop higher than the head not long after i had used it! Some sea water trickled into the head and seized the bugger!....game over !

For a small dinghy like that you would want a short shaft, loong shafts are genarally used for auxillaries as the sit high on the bracket when not in use. Cant beat a smokey old seagull, just try not to do yourself an injury or throw youself overboard when starting it
