75hp Honda VS 75hp Mariner

Evening all.
I was speaking to someone today down the harbour and they said their mate had the same boat as me, 21' Orkney Day Angler, his had the new Mariner 75hp and it cruises at 20 knots and flat out it's doing 27.
I have 4 4stroke 75hp Honda and at 4500 rpm 2 up with tide i will get about 15 knots and flat out 20, when clean.

Is there much difference between the 2 engine's or do i need to do some investigating??? Maybe checkin what pitch prop i have??

I cruise at 4500rpm doing 15 knots ish. Flat out i'm reving at 5800rpm doing 20 knots

Oh the net isn't fishing right and need to make some slight adjustments

your boat may be heavier than the one you are comparing it to.
it seems you are getting the right revs

These stats are from when i picked it up, in october.
I thought that it was just it but after speaking to Dave i thought i'd ask
