I have just spent the last half hour with a bloke out on the sands at low water watching him pull razor fish. Seems he spots a hole, pours some table salt on it, if it gets sucked down he pours some more until the razor has had enough and pushes itself out of the sand!! Grip the shell gently and pull slowly - he says you will feel it relax and then it will slide out as easy as anything!
Going to have a go at low tomorrow afternoon.

I watched this on a dvd once Steve. Amazing how they pop up at speed like that! I remember everyone at Southsea Sea Angling swearing by them for plaice, tipping ragworm with it.

yes ammo do them frozen but i dont know if thay are any good

You can get them all around the southeast, look for a circular depression in the sand then either use salt water or dig them out. They are realy nice to eat stir fried.

Had some last night for the first time. I would not rate them as a wonderful flavour and will use any I get in future as bait instead of eating them. They are a bit like cockles, i.e., rubbery and mild flavour.
