going to do a tad of fishing in a couple of weeks on the East Coast
Whats readily available Fresh Wise?
Lug? Rag?
What else can I use, and where to get it?
What sort of frozen stuff is reliable (does not turn to pulp when defrosted)
How about squid or Sandeels etc?
Sorry for the question, you can tell I am still a relative novice ;D

When I used to fish off the East coast, Felixstowe area, found lug and squid worked well for codling and whiting, rag and sandeel worked for rays. Most baits will attract dogfish! Bass like peeler crab and worm bait as well as small live baits. Suggest to talk to the local tackle shop where you intend to fish for his/her advice. As said in an earlier post Ammo frozen bait is the best. Dave

you can start getting away with peelers but the main baits for the next 3 months are rag and sandeel cocktail and i think you can still use squidas well
