Towed my seahunter down to Langstone on saturday morning with Lorraine , my other half. Just got into the road leading to langstone slip, went over a pothole and an almighty BANG came from behind! I thought wheel bearing! Oh No much better than that!! the trailer had only split in half across the axle box section!! Many expletives etc followed by how the hell do we recover this!! I ran down to Southsea Boat anglers compound and spoke to the lads - despite not knowing me Steve (bosun) rounded up some of the lads, got a spare trailer and after a bit of sweating, and pushing we got my boat off the remains of my trailer and loaded onto the "spare". TERRY (what a star) said I know where we might be able to get a trailer, after a visit to one bloke who was less than helpful! we ended up at HAYLING TRAILERS - really helpful top bloke here and new trailer bought, gulp! Back to Langstone trailer swapped over and adjustments made, the day was recovered! even got out and caught fish! The main reason for this post is to say a huge [glow=red,2,300]THANKYOU[/glow] to the lads from SOUTHSEA BOAT ANGLERS, in particular [glow=red,2,300]TERRY, STEVE, TONY and all the others whose names I dont know who helped me & Lorraine[/glow] - People like that you do not forget! ;D It was only after when you think of what might have happened if that had happened at 60mph on the motorway - the result just does not bear thinking about Ian & Lorraine

Yeah, didnt the beach boys do a song called `heroes and villains`?...how apt! Great to hear that some people go out of their way to lend a hand to someone in a bit of trouble. Nice one!

Could anybody P.M me Terry's home address please?
Yep, Mr Wilson didn't seem to understand that I didn't carry £500 cash in my back pocket when I was going fishing!
