Off to weymouth 26th march for a weeks holiday and it would be rude not to take the fishing rods. Just wondered what bait to use and what chesil is fishing like and what fish is being caught any info would be great!

as always this time of year, its rockling, mini pout, poor cod, a few dogs and the odd whiting. so not great and will be very hit and miss. by that time though it would be worth giving cogden a go in daylight hours for a plaice if you we get a period of settled weather, bright conditions and clear water. use rag and lug and always tip with squid and maybe silver of mack. 1/0 or 2/0 hooks will be fine nailed to the bottom.
