having just sung it's praises on the fladen thread in bad reveiws, i thought i'd put it in the good section cos thats what it deserves and more will see it. i agree with most of you that fladen gear is pants! and thier reels arnt even worth 50p! but the supersensor boat rods are wicked bits of kit! not being much of a boat angler, i used mine properly at the weekend in search of bream, if there was a fish made for this rod, it's bream! 10 people fishing for bream that day, 3 caught, 2 of which by me! and i reckon this rod had a major part to play as the fishing was shite. while others were strugling to find the bottom and trot back effectively with 8 or 10 ounces of lead in 2 or more knts of tide, i used no more than 5oz, never snagged up and always perfectly trotted the bait over the rough ledges. the two bream, both of over 2lb4oz, went like trains on it! i caint wait for the main bream season later on in the year! even doggies fight on it! i only used the lightest tip but will surely test out the other two at some point. the best thing about the multi-tips is you can pick another set up for £5-10! they are cheap too, i got mine in excellent condition from beaky for £25! defo the best value for money rod of my collection! great rods for experienced boat anglers but perfect for less serious boaties on a tight budget like myself! bassically 3 rods in one for the price of an average 12-20lb rod thanks for reading

Apparently not all Fladen gear is crap, the Ed Schliffke Rockhopper rods are made by Fladen and are meant to be shite hot.

Fair play Coddo, good to see you got yourself a bargain. It would be too easy to brand all of one make as rubbish, as it's very rarely true.
"supersensor multi tip" - That does sound like it belongs under the counter in Anne Summers or the back pages of some "one handed art magazine".

I got the 11 foot Maxximus on it's way. Just wanted to try it, couldn't go wrong for £20 really.

I've got two SensorTip rods and in the right conditions they are impressive, especially for the price. On a crowded boat or when the tide/drift allows they are as effective as most rods around.
