Anyone had any experience with removing one of these?? I am normally pretty good at this sort of thing but I cannot shift it despite loosening everything I can find. I am afraid that if I try too hard I might well destroy it for ever!
I cannot get the arm of the spindle despite removing the two little grub screws at the side.
Anyone any ideas or do you know what the problem might be?? The motor is running fine but the spindle is not turning??

Dont know but if there are grub screws i would be looking for a woodruf key or checking that the grubscrew has not knerled up the surface and is causing your problem.

you may need to use a 3 legg puller to remove the arm to avoid damaging the motor. if the spindle is not moving but the motor sounds like it is spinning the plastic gear cogs may have sheared off and you may struggle to get replacement gears.

Just to finish the story I eventually was able to ease it off using mole grips to hold the spindle whilst I worked the arms off with a pair of long nose pliers. I rang Arvor for a replacement motor but that was a week ago and they have not returned my call. I sealed up the three holes and applied rainex to the windscreen. It is so effective I am seriously contemplating doing away with the wipers completely. Any water that hits the windscreen runs off immediately giving excellent visibility, far more effective than wiper blades.
