Had my first proper kayak session this week whilst trying to find shelter from the strong NE-E winds. Had 6 bass in the end 3 around the 2lb mark and 3 from 4 to 5.5lb. Enjoyable day in the end given how cold it was at first light. Here are pics of the 2 larger fish: Flyguy

It's all in the wrist action The good thing about fly fishing from a kayak is you dont have to cast far, 40-50ft tops. With a balanced setup its pickup - haul - shoot. The less false casting the better. I think many beginners are fishing crap outfits that aren't balanced or have poor instruction, if any at all.
