Evening everyone new to this site looking forward to the hints tips and craic,I am based in South Wales but fish mainly in the Solent area and try to get at least 1 boat trip per visit, I will be visiting your sunny shores this weekend any tips on whats fishing well at the mo?  ? i know the plaice are thin on the ground at Eastney, in anticipation thanks for the replies. Hi mate. Is the fishing no good in south wales? I dont really know about the mainland shores but like you say, i hear eastney has become patchy.

HI Dave The fishing in south wales is generally poor (thats my view) i spend a 1/3 of my life in Plymouth, (drinking) my son runs a pub so we occasionally go fishing the other 1/3rd of my life is spent fluff chucking anywhere and the other 1/3 is visiting my hyperactive (joking) grandaughter in pompey hence most of my sea fishing is down South where the waters are cleaner but we get better COD fishing in the winter.
