Hi all does any one out there know the correct way to load up a fixed spool so a not to get a load line twist. Tight lines

Have heard of putting the spool of line in a bucket of water then loading it onto the reel. As the line comes off it is supposed to take the twist out. Give it a go. Dave

Load line of side of spool making sure spills of in same direction as being wound on reel. The idea is twist created unspooling is removed on winding on reel

Yes and when you reel back in its gone again. has to exist either in or out

bucket of water sounds like an interesting way. For my reels I have just loaded the FS onto the rod, threaded the line down the eyes, tied the end onto the reel , then slowly reel the line in. Worked fine for me
