I bought the Rucksack and RodHoldall from Scotties and have used it for about eighteen months. I DO LOOK AFTER MY GEAR but the buckles and zips are failing, the main compartment lid buckle won't hold so now I can't close it. The material thats used is fine, just the Fasteners.
Cheers Shakespeare

Hi Lighty, I've given up with bespoke fishing luggage. I go through "branded" gear like no tomorrow. I now lash my rods together with rod bags and carry all my gear in an old unbranded sports bag. I'm less bothered when things start breaking / falling apart. I also like to carry 3 rods with all the reels still on too, I'm not sure I'd get that in a holdall. Each to thier own.

I`ll stick this in bad reviews.. I have the salt rucksack but i have only really used it this year so cant comment on its longevity yet. But i know one thing, its lasted longer than my mustad one did ( One day)

I used to have a cheap Nike Duffle Bag for work (you know the sort) and it lasted for years, and it went through hell. Why should Shakespeare fishing bags fail, it gets used less than once a week, it must be inferior material that is used. I bet Shimano lasts! anyway got an Imax from scotties today so I will be flashing that on the beach tomorrow. see you all on the beach tomorrow cheerzz ps I'm the one catching the fish lol

appears to me that you didn't know the difference between a sole or lobster, so how you gonna get a turbot then eh.

The lobys just fall onto my hook while sole fishing, cant help it mate, the same goes for any unlucky turbo i`m afraid!

i have just purchased the rod bag with extendable bottom as my century comes in two 7 foot sections. great idea and it looks the part but it is a pain in the a?s because the bottom section now catches on the ground when carrying my rods around. i think i will just stick with my quiver and some velcro straps.
