Been using winders of all types for rigs down the years. Ian at Moonfleet has just started doing these ........... www.moonfleet-angling.com/zen-cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=60Have just got mine in the post and started to store rigs on em from my plastic rig wallets.......ok so they do take up space but 10 assorted rigs that can be easily undone on the beach gets my vote.......O and by the way.......if you want a cheap alternative go here...................... www.swimshop.co.uk/recno/4/product-Fun-Noodle-FUNNOODLE.htmthese are £6 inc PP ... for a 66ins x 70mm(3ins) cheap hard sponge that can be cut to length for storing long rigs/snoods on........OK ..so they dont have a recess like the rig winders but are ideal if your on a budget. you stick to your pond angling, while the rest of us use em as they were intended........... well after my shortened stay at weymouth for Cascars boat meet, I was felling pretty miserable until postie came with my first order of the larger Rig winders from Moonfleet Angling. 100mm in diameter, they are plenty big enough to store multi hook snoods on for boat angling or a few whole rigs for shore fishing. I have ordered more already. I did my research before ordering mind, and shopped around as best I could but found them no cheaper anywhere else. *********************************************** Got to agree Worzel. Got a pack myself a while ago and they really are good. I can store several rigs on them and the larger diameter stops the line getting that memory spiral if stored for several days. Can't wait to try them on the boat, should make storing my long snoods easier. Another innovation from moonfleet, nice one ************************************************ I think anyone who's used rig winders has realized their advantages over other storage methods. I certainly wouldn't go back to using poly bags again. Moonfleet has started stocking the 100mm diameter rig winders specifically for storing the longer boat rigs and multi-hook rigs that need these larger spools. I've never found space when using rig winders to be an issue in my tackle box, but then I use Ian's adjustable rigs so don't need to take that many rig bodies with me. Just a few multi-rigs (such as the Wessex Rig and the Dropper Rig) and a selection of different length and size snoods sees me through most fishing sessions they must of been 3 other "Pond" anglers...... ;D ;D
