Ive had mine over 7 years and ive finally got a problem with it, It has become very very intermitant. The problem is in the small black plastic thing (looks like a small film holder)with the black and red battery lead coming out of one end and the plug in hole at the other . The prob is in the plug in hole which i cant get into to clean. Anyone got any ideas or experience of the same prob? Any help much aprecaited, cheers john PS Ive e mailed TIGA and i m waiting for comeback.

Not had that problem but know exactly what you mean John. I would imagine you could replace that piece inclusive of the wire & spade ends (to the battery) for well under a fiver. Next time Im round the tackle shop I'll ask. I bought a replacement battery the other month for £12...bargain, thats the beauty of it, even if anything dies its all replaceable for very little money.

me too. You must have the 'SL', which is what I have, I know Tiga have changed the battery type now but should be able to supply our type, if not I would imagine the likes of 'Maplins' would, its just a standard 6V sealed battery.

If you think there might be a bit of gunk in there, see if a local engineering shop will let you blast compressed air gun into the whole to clear it! This has worked wonders for me on many different things!
