hi does anybody know if you need a special charger for a marine battery and are the solar chargers any good. i think my engine has a charge socket but its quite old regards dave

acid battarys an small gel battarys:- no speical charger needed , a halfords charger will keep you topped up with out any problems.

forgot to say solar chagers a re not much cop unless you want somethink very expencive
