the weather looks very good at the moment, ;D i am off mid channel sunday then off to selsey for some plaice on monday. i have waited for the good weather for ages so it seems a shame to waste the time at home.

Whats the suggested mark between Haslar and Hillhead if you had a choice, and what can you expect to catch,

Things are still somewhat patchy boss, If you're talking daytime tides try Gilkicker, Stokes Bay (area just west of lifeboat station) for the chance of a plaice. Hillhead for flounders - which haven't been about in great abundance and shoal bass.
Night tides Again, Gilkicker/Stokes Bay - some pollack have been caught plus whiting, some dogs and the usual pout and poorcod. Spotted ray a possibility. Browndown for the same - thornbacks can show but not heard of any yet. Lee-on-Solent and Hillhead are other spots to try for a ray - thornback have started to make a sporadic appearance at the latter. That one bonus decent bass could appear almost anywhere.
As for my choice - I'm still trying to make my mind up lol ! Maybe fish the flood up from low water at Browdown durung the evening/night
