Polarising sunglasses is old technology now (first done 1936!). As long as the glasses are genuinely polarised (should come with a special sticker), then they are very much the same. I got some clip on ones for my specs for a tenner, they work a treat for spinning... even if I do look a bit like Magnum P.I.

you need different colour lenses for diff condition's to get the best affect, recomend ones witth the side flaps to stop reflection from the sides. there is some on the market that have changeable lens's As with most things the more you pay the better the product. my fav for spinning was the amber lense for evening fishing and the grey in bright day, amber in overcast day.

i too used to suffer from headaches with normal sunglasses, and even cheap polarised one's, i guess i never found the right pair of cheapies ! if i don't wear them, i end up squinting so bad out of just one eye that people think i'm sleeping !
so, to treat myself before my holiday i bought a pair of oakley (monster dog i think) polarised glasses, WoW is an understatement, even with the sun in my face i don't squint ! they're not cheap, i paid about £100 from an ebay shop, but saved around £70 getting them this way, i'd never normally have even considered spending so much on a set of goggles, but man, they're brilliant,
