Well, the power supply unit went BANG !  . So only logging in from work at the moment. I've blagged a unit from a PC at work (they'll never miss it !), and will fit it tonight. Just hope the motherboard did'nt get fried  . |

Rather unfortunate Richard. I had a lightening bolt do in my last one! Fried everything including my external modem!!

I can recommend a Novatech barebones unit. Bought one for £175 a couple of months ago, put my hard drive and CD drive in it, worked fine first go and no problems so far. Probably better than the one you nicked (oops, sorry) borrowed.

I'm hopefull that replacing the power supply unit with the 'liberated' one will be sufficient. If worse comes to worse the Bare Bones rig from them would be a good option. |
