last min dicision to take my lad to try a bit of mullet fishing was warned by scotty these were near impossible to catch. was he so bloody right.... he had a go at taking pics too ha ha he even tried nicking my rod(cheeky git) in the end as we packed up he wanted one last desperate attempt if the mullet were close, after seeing a net like this, they wouldnt be any more. i will say we had a great time and he was as quiet as a mouse, and threw a fit when we had to come home. thats my boy, just like his dad ha ha

You need to target the mullet in the creek itself, spend 20 minutes throwing bits of bread in and they will start to feed, then slip a hook in a bit of bread and float it through the area.
The weed patch you were fishing into holds some nice bass but is a tackle graveyard as well.

ha ha he did say it was full of weed by the car park, but moving closer to the car park was the only way he could get morgan closer to going home lol... nearer to the car ha haha

wont be long and he will be kicking your arse by the sunken barge does hold some better fish, it just tough in the river and the moment due to tons of weed

we seen some of those bigger fishies too, aaron lost a couple with in 2 meters of him bless, on a higher tide the weed there can really be testing lol...

October / November are usually very good times of the year there for the Bass, often a higher number of bigger ones around and a lot less weed.

they havent quit on those mullet yet lol and theres a better place for mullet down the river hehe i want those ones lol...
