well an old guy from shalfleet put his net out hampstead hoping for a Bass for his tea like he has done for 50 year's,was very disapointed with a catch of no Bass saying somthing was wrong..But in his basket was a dead smoothy of 25lb sad but he was going to eat it saying you dont live long eating red meat,he is 85.
But on the Brighter side they must be in now.

i was told not to bother eating them over about 4lb, something to do with the ammonia, have only ever eaten one, was about 4lb and caught on the pier, one of about 12 that night, it was killed, cooked, marinated, grilled and eaten within an hour ! couldn't tell you what it tasted like cos it was in some kind of curry sauce ! was nice though !
