steve i have found by the time you get lead then the wire plus gass you are just as cheap to buy them mate. you are paying about a pound for a pound of lead and you can pick up a 150gram one gripper for about a pound from gerry fishing.

steve i have found by the time you get lead then the wire plus gass you are just as cheap to buy them mate. you are paying about a pound for a pound of lead and you can pick up a 150gram one gripper for about a pound from gerry fishing. probably spot on with that,although i have noticed that break-away and gemini leads are near the £2 mark,the lead i use is scrap,don't cost me nothing ;D p.s. i think the namix guy on ebay sells ready made namix leads at a £1 each,found them to be quite good,aerodynamic and all that although the groves which take the wire could be a bit deeper,i tend to use gemini fixed wires(red)when making the leads,i also use an elastic band round one wire then round the rest for stronger tides
