B&Q sell two types, one with two bulbs, one with six bulbs (LEDs that is) so I bought the six LED model for about £12 something.
Comes with 3 AAA batteries which fit inside the Lamp case so no rear battery pack.
Two large LEDs,two small and two red LEDs which give out a diffused type of light rather than a strong beam. The lights sequence is all on, two large on, two small on or just the red on.
Problem that I found was the light was shining down into my eyes while on and pushing the lamp higher up my forehead only helped slightly.
Compared to my LED Lensor which has a pertruding bulb housing which takes the light away from your eyes, it was awkward to see with, but that is just my opinion. On the other hand the two red led's on there own gave just enough red light to see with so would be a good asset to those fishing for Bass close in.
All in all a bit of a disapointment but a good light nevertheless, maybe worth it just for the red led's alone as its great to look at your rod shining all red ie the white rod tip tape shines back as red, and the red led's alone are good enough to find your way back along the beach going home ....... OMG..................................... just had a thought!
Newsflash:
early morning dog walker finds abandon fishing tackle along Chale beach. Its just weird he reports, the rods still had line in the water.
Local spokesman can't offer an explanation but it seems that the anglers have just disappeared while all their fishing tackle remains on the beach, could this be a case of the "Marie Celeste" all over again he replies.
Latest Newsflash:
A few anglers, having heard the earlier newsflash have now come forward to report that it was their fishing tackle that was left on the beach at chale.
One angler who did not wish to be named reports that about half past two yesterday morning at chale beach they were fishing the tide up when what appeared to look like an Alien lifeform was seen walking towards them. I could'nt quite make it out, said one angler but as it got closer to us we could see that it had two very large red eyes, we were petrified said one, so we ran, terrified up to the carpark, but it followed us said another angler but was quite slow climbing the cliffs after us, I ain't going back down there said another angler as they made there escape in their cars.
Whoops,Sorry lads me minds wandering again, I gotta get out more? LOL
