Isn't there some sort of electrical thing that you bury in the ground and it emits some sort of sonic boom or something that scares them off?

They don't work Adam, neither do the smoke bombs, the traps are the only way. Unless you buy a mole Gun, though frankly I don't rate them much, and their bloody expensive.

Where do get your mole traps from? Are they easy to set? I've got molehills comming up in the middl eof the lawn! they do them in scats steve and are very easy to set yep Scats...or eBay...same thing. Dead easy to set (excuse the pun) and very very effective. I rarely get them now. When I first moved in they were litterally all over my lawn.... no it wasn't a lawn it was like a battlefield after a barage. I think Moles are really cute little things, but boy do they cause some damage. If you don't know ...there will be a while community using the same tunnels, so don't pack up after getting one from a run...keep going with the traps in the same runs until you are certain they are cleared out. Then after a few months, or even weeks other moles will move in to the old runs....so you have to re-set the traps. I have been on their case now for about 6-9 months and still they keep arriving ! But I now have a lawn I really wanted a good humane trap...not because I'm a softie, but because I wanted to release them in my townie mates gardens ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
