Hello, I'm FlyGuy and I like to fish.... Just like to introduce myself. I fish the south coast, hampshire to dorset with fly and lure from shore or kayak. Biggest this year is a 6lb30z from shore on fly. Tighlines FlyGuy

Thanks fellas. Fly fishing is like anything, you get the fly in front of a fish it will normally take it. Lure allows you cover more distance and can draw fish up from the depths more but I rarely blank on fly when the bass are around. These 2 were from last week. A small 2" inch clouser swung over structure in a decent current. 4lb 10oz. After reviving and releasing the fish and got back to it. Next cast, bang, another solid hookup. This time 6lb 4oz, 66cm (to end of tail). To be fare, despite the shoulders on this one the other fish fought just as hard. I think it's impossible to estimate the size of any fish over 3lb until you can see it, even on fly gear. Again measure/weigh/photo/release and back to it. But by this time it was getting really deep and I couldn't get the right angle to fish the spot properly. Cheers FlyGuy

Hi Pete. I haven't got around to that area yet but will be this summer. Just sold my T120 to a really decent guy down there at the weekend so I'm yak-less for time being. Got my eye on a new model.
