Whilst waiting for the ferry at southampton I managed to get a few piccy's of a cruise ship leaving. It wasn't dark, and the flash did go off but for some reason they've came out really dark! Are they salvagable and what did I do wrong? [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a]

Boatspotter Hmm, try squidlips suggestion. Could be fixed with just a gamma adjustment.

I doubt the flash would have made much difference at that range mate!!!! hence the darkness. Photobucket has some pretty niffty brightness and exposure options built into it now if you (like me) find photo shop a little baffling.

What sort of camera did you use pj? The camera on my phone always does pics that dark unless it's bright sunshine or indoors. Cloudy afternoons come out like that on mine too

Mine has about 20 options for different circumstances and still throws out some bad pictures.... Try using the `exposure` option in your editing suit, this may only intensify the colour but may work out your brightness problems also.

Same camera i've had for a few years....... [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] Never had this problem before. Maybe it's reached the end of it's life. I'll try another few later and see what happens. I'll have a play and see what happens!

Hi mate, just had a quick look at your photo's, but haven't the time to go too deep on this....(also I have acted without your permission as you are the copyright owner so please forgive me for downloading your photo)... but just cleaned one up a bit for you. It would take a bit of work to correct these and if there is no sentimental value attached then it isnt worth it in my opinion. ps you either used the cameras incorrectly or there is a fault with it (obviously lol ) Photo below lighty
