Long Reef,Collaroy,Northern Sydney

I've dived at Long Reef when I was in Oz ;DAll we saw were small port jackson sharks
And at Byron Bay
I was booked on the 1130 dive the same day,turned up at the dive shop and said "hi,I'm here for the 1130 dive" to be told "we won't be running any more dives today"I was just about to say "I've just come all the bleedin way from Sydney to dive here" when they went on and said"there has been a shark attack and they are still searching for the victim"......."no worries " was my reply.
Me and me mate made our way down to the beach where the press choppers,police and people who were trying to kill it were and contrary to what is written in the newspaper cutting they did get a couple of shots off and it was found dead 19kms up the coast a few days later of the injuries it sustained.I did eventually dive with the same divemaster from the fateful dive 5 days later
The story I heard was that they were on the safety stop and the bloke shoved his missus out of the way of the shark,gallant.
ozzie yakfishers forum gives it from the yakkers themselves,one guy even slags them off for causing a media fuss ;D
