Happy New Year to everyone.
This thread held my focus last year and although I doubt many were looking in I thoroughly enjoyed it. I finished on 32 species last year from Boat, Shore and Kayak so see how we go this year. I think I will have more time to fish this year so cross fingers. One on the board already!!

I am with you on that one, gives you that mental goal of fishing for species you would not normally bother with!....and some degree of personal achievement!!!! Got to get the 40 this year

You are right Henry, Fieona and I did a couple of shore trips with the specific aim of adding a species or two. In the boat if we were doing poor then we aim for species too. Not for the pot or for a load up but just to catch something different. Well done to Pete and the mods for this opportunity.

..........and some more, another two last night. Had 13 Bass from the shore too, not big though, all between 1lb 8 and 2lb 8. Great fun though, down side was the session was from midnight to 4am!

Fishing over for the month, need to focus on work and then we are away for 5 weeks. Happy with 13 species, could have added three more easy ones but will resist. Happy days!!

First time I've been fishing for nigh on two months now so needed to get my fix. Short session we had 5 Tope to 30lb and a double figure Bull Huss in an evening session.
