When @ Dungeness the other day I spotted a fella coming toward me with what can only be described as a moon buggy squashed into a trolley design.......................... The frame was light tubular steel but it was the wheels that grabbed my attention "massive" is an understatement..!!!! His mates thought I was takin the peee ...when I showed interest ...but christ could that thing move a load across a shingle beach with ease.....apparently you can swap the big wheels from standard plastic to bloody great inflatable jobbies. My Boss trolley wheels ..all 1.75 inches width were sinking in the stones. www.humpalumpa.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=51&products_id=97Not cheap is my first thought.....but if you want a trolley to use for transport and to use as a fishing station....provided you aint gotta drag it down (isle of wight cliffs) ..it might be a worthy bit of kit to have...Ill certainly be looking to get one to aid in the ol back issue department.... Well Abu,your "convert" summit got me to thinking.
Ive been using a Boss Fishing trolley for donkies and its only downfall is the Pneumatic wheels (1 1/2 inch tube size) are ok on concrete floor but on sand/shingle they just sink in under the weight.....its rectangular steel axle fitting is different from the round fitting on the Humpalumpa trollies so after speaking to a Craig Fuller @ their Devon base today he says that (from photoes) his guys should be able to fabricate a square fitment for my trolley.....@ a price.....watch this space.
If it works out,Ill get some piccies done for anybody else that might want to convert their own trolley with "BIG" wheels.
