hi all you expert chaps, heres a question being very new to lure fishing in the sea i tried lst year having got lots of good advice, as always, from the forum. i have now bought a selection of lures, poppers and rubbers as per your advice now heres the thing, around our part od essex coast the water is prdominantly coloured most of the time ranging from pea soup to just a bit coloured. what would you advise to use? im very keen to give it a serious bash as bait fishing for them, as i usually do is not that productive cheers neil

anything with a rattle or buy some clip on rattles

Hi, in coluured water and fishing with plugs i have caught lots of bass by lashing a small slither of mackeral on the under side with shearing elastic, on a good day it can be a killer

frenzy do some quite good rattlers :catch: Abu Do A Very Nice Lure Called The , Tourmenter You My OF Used It, Floundering? And FRENZY Have Some Decent Lures. Just Gotta Pick The Right Ones

On e of my favourite lures is the chubb-popper, have had some nice Bass on it.

Essex is absolutely shocking for plugging mate. However, in coloured water use big, dark coloured plugs (size & dark colour make a better silhouette) that have the loudest rattle possible and/or a propellar to make as much disturbance as possible. Also make sure you work the lure a lot slower than normal with plenty of pauses and twitches.
Other than that, get in you car and drive down to Kent/Sussex!
