I prefer to use Hughs tape as it sticks to the blank well, and does wot it says on the tin..!!!!!!!!! My favourite LIKE about his tape is the fact I can use ANY colour combination but under RED LIGHT it all shows as off white which is easy on the eye...and non blinding for all the anglers around you. www.mightybright.co.uk/Hes been good enough to sponsor our Charity meet and greats with some pkts of his wares ..and have just noticed he is selling packs of cut offs (different sizes /colours) that can be utilsed for rod stands/and all those items that we all luv to lose on the beach at night.......£12.50 a pkt. I also believe hes gonna start to sell a NEW type of tape but Im sure he,ll leave a message about that. Gazza

Thanks for the heads up Gazza,
the Broken Biscuits (offcut packs) have loads of tape in them, probably about £30 worth in all, the only difference is that they're not computer cut, they're simply all my large offcuts which i've taken the time to cut into thin strips, anything from 6" to 12"+, though most bits will fall around the 6-10" mark.
re new tape,
the new tape will be taking over from the current tape once my stocks are sufficiently low enough to require me ordering more. I am always looking for ways to improve the product and, as a result, i test an awful lot of reflective films as they are released. many i try are no better or worse, but the tape i'll be switching to in the near future is quite a good step forward, the colours (when lit up) are more vibrant and less milky looking, they conform around the rod tips better, and the best thing is that the raw sheet prices are very similar, which is good when you consider i buy it by the roll and it can easily exceed several hundred pounds per order!
the retail price will remain the same for the forseeable future, It has remained at it's current price for almost 2 years now, that's despite my sheet supplier having upped the prices at least three times (aprs 18% over-all). There is another price increase due in April, which might see me having to up the retail price a little, but this increase will hopefully remain at 10% or less. Hopefully the supplier increase won't be too bad, it may not even happen as the prices are related to oil prices to a degree, and the oil prices, as we know, are lower again.
anyways, thanks to my many loyal customers, hope you all have a great year!
Hugh
ps. it's worth me mentioning that Mighty Bright is available on the island, The Tackle Box in Freshwater stock the whole range of colours and sizes, from the 2" marking tape, to the 6 & 12" rod tapes, inclusing 'eclipse', the so cool black reflective tape!
