Hi,
According to the manual the compression ratio should be 6.2.
These are great engines & I have had mine several years with no problems other than I cannot get it to stop cutting out on tick over.
Cheers

nearly all 2 stokes should be over 100psi as a bear min but when new she would have been around the 160 psi mark. if it lower than 100 psi its dead and time to rebuild or buy a new one hope you get good results
cheers john

I have a Mercury 60HP 3 cylinder which is about 12 years old and is still going well, I had a compression check done a few months ago and all three pots were about 160 psi, which is pretty good, but the thing to watch for is that all the pots are within 10% of each other, if not you have a problem.
Keep your engine regularly serviced and you shouldn't have any problems.
