Little rascals.... do you have the Jack as well ? Do you mean a male? Yes muffin is a gib, and misty is a sprite.
Unsprayed female ferrets are called jills. Spayed female ferrets are called sprites. Unneutered male ferrets are referred to as hobs and neutered males are called gibs.
There you go, learn something everyday.

They don't bite mate, you just have to handle them often. Though you do have to watch them, as they get into the smallest of places, misty is the worst. She got under the floorboards and behind the bath, I took the whole of the side of the bath off to find she'd emerged from somewhere else and was happily sitting next to me watching me struggle with the bath panel.

I had a couple of mates in the army who kept them in their gardens; used them for rabbiting/rough shooting trips. The Ferrets were okay, but one of the guys had a Ferret Polecat mix and it was vicous beast; bit everyone including the owner I stuck with handling the Ferrets for obvious reasons ! Yours look like they have a bit of Polecat in them

I had a couple of ferrets when i was a nipper and used to go rabbiting out Petersfield way, with my old boy. I've got some great memories of getting up on the hill, on frosty mornings with my old man. Spent many a happy hour digging the little raskles out.
My first ferret was called Fearless and when he died i got another one called him Fearless 2....LOL
Brilliant little creatures and great fun.

That is fantastic Davey, brought a tear to my eye as my old boy, Bud, died just before last Christmas after having him just shy of 8 years! They make awesome pets, intelligent and a bundle of fun. I had sister and brother, obviously both sorted out! My Collie, Skye, sat and looked at the old boys enclosure for days after his death as they used tp play together in the kitchen and garage! After watching your two playing my wife has said we should get some more!
