Just read the thread on non-posting - apologies forgot to get an intro posted, so here goes!
Have been fishing the IOW for the past 23 years.
Used to do a fish a fair few competitions as a junior at Machine Shop Beach Club, but now like to concentrate on the pleasure fishing.
Most of my fishing is done from the boat, inshore on private boats and offshore (wrecking etc) from Lymington. Get in quite a bit of shore fishing throughout the year, but generally only when the weather packs in.
Cheers David ;D

welcome to the forum - well thats a quite a general question! Are you only limited to Sandown & Shanklin? Day or Night and anything in particular to target?
Looking at the tides - looks best at the end of June / beginning July (midnight springs if you want to go night fishing). I would personnally fish Sandown - try at Yaverland or the beach between the Zoo and the carpark. Should pick up some Rays and possibly a bass to sandeel. Maybe a little early, but you may also pick a sole or two close in to worm baits.
If day fishing - I used to fish the Sandown pier years ago for mackerel, garfish and pollack - can have a lot of fun float fishing for them
