well i was let down last minute last nite on my deep sea experdition, so with the options left been:- out on my boat pout bashing, fly fishing or sitting at home and sulking. i went for the fluff chuck option. so head to woodington fishery in east wellow , got my 2 fish & catch and release ticket and was fishing by 8am. and still trying to fish at 11am with out a fish to my name. so i head to the cafe had a bacon and egg butty and few cups of coffie, and was ready for round two, after a couple of cast one of the other guys recommended i slow my retreive and on the very next cast i was in . not the greatest fight, but it was my first brown trout and it wieghed in at 2lb 1oz. after a closer look the fish was very badly injured on the tial by what looked to be a very fresh pike attack or maybe a mink. so for the sack of suffering i bumped it on the head and called it dinner. the very next cast i was in again and it was another brown and a dam site better fight, and went 1lb 11oz. and this was safely returned . it was then quite for 1/2hour and i was in again and again it was a very spirted fight and this time i had a 2 1/2 lb rainbow trout. which was just the job to finish my 2 fish ticket. after another couple of casts i managed another brown trout of 1lb.which was safely returned. after that little run of activity it went dead again, so by 4pm i called it a day and head home. so from never having had a brown trout i had 3 in a day and a rainbow trout for good measure. cheers john
