Decided I'd ''test the water'' and go for a short session at warsash ;D Launched at swanick and made the paddle down to warsash. I was also joined by clare ;D After realising I'd forgot my anchor I clipped up to a bouy, and dropped the hook. I fished for a couple of hours without a single bite, the hamble is dead this time of year, especially without the non-existant flounders but still, it was great to finally be back out there ;D tightlines, scotty.

Well with more than 9,000 varieties of Sea Weed around the World perhaps we should add it to our catch listing What variety did you catch Clare ? I know the same as us, that very annoying slimy type that won't leave our line's alone It looked as though you had both enjoyed your selves and just wait until the Mullet start showing There are some very good spots along the Hamble, you just need to use a needle to find them

I love Mullet fishing and used to belong to the British Mullet Club. There are some very good places along the Hamble and in Portsmouth to catch these wonderful fish along with the River Axe in Devon and numerous other places. Try fly fishing for these along with Bass, great sport and great fun

Great stuff Lee  Cracking report and a cracking day's fishing Must say though that these marina's are getting a bit funny with access. So I always wear waders and tell them they don't own a tidal point and I'll move if the boat owner tells me to. Have had a few grumbly trips but most are without any problems at all :peace: :peace:
