Like most Orkney boats they are built well and will, if needed, take a good sea. However at 14ft I would not want to venture more than a couple of miles off shore and if the weather turned I would head in asap. They would make a great harbour/esturay craft where you can get in close and shallow and spin for a Mr.Bass

It has always struck me that the 16 ft version is the better boat and can be taken out further on good days. Bearing in mind that one does not really need a cuddy (even if you are daft enough to go out in the rain you can still wear waterproofs), it is altogether more roomy and comfortable, probably safer too. If Auntie Gladys leaves me a few bob in her will, it's definitely the boat I will get.

cheers for the advice the 16 footers seem more available than the 14 foot regards dave
