Any opinions or advice on what new engine to go for - looking for a 15 or 20 HP with remotes. Any good deals around at the moment or any recommended vendors I'm in the Fareham area ?
Many thanks in advance Des

I've just bought a small 4 stroke off fairweather marine by the creek in Fareham.
Seems like a great guy and certainly has a good reputation around.
Not sure if there are any good deals to be had but i would assume all dealers would give a decent deal in the current climate. Put a post up in the wanted section, someone may just have one they want rid of.

I know that engine buying is usually based around a local dealer but there's no headache in dealing with a broker at the other end of the country and can be well worth it if the price is right. We just saved over £3K off the rrp on a 115 Suzuki, £2K cheaper than the best local quote. Servicing and warranty matters can be carried out through the local dealer. Its just a matter of collecting or paying a courier and then have an engineer fit & PDI it. We dealt with Ali at Gillingham Marina & would highly recommend them.
