With a small tide this weekend I was hoping to be able to get to an offshore mark in search of Turbot and Rays,the weather unfortunately had other ideas with the wind predicted to hit 25mph by midday 
Decided to launch at the blocks and fish near horse sand fort about 2 1/2 miles out.Because of the forecast rigged the sail
Launched at 11am and made my way to the mark.There were quite a few small boats in the area and reports over the radio were not inspiring.It was sunny and warm,I was starting to think,here we go again for a wrong forecast,,,,,,,,,,,could of gone offshore maybe
I was a lot further out than on the previous two Plaice attempts.
I had been fishing for about an hour and a half and got a lovely bite on the euroboat resulting in a nice 2 1/4lb Plaice :stoned:
After a while longer the wind picked up as predicted which in a way made me glad as I didn't feel I'd missed an opportunity for a longer trip
de-anchored,flipped up the sail and headed back to the launch site happy to have got Plaice off the list :win:
Next target Pout,anyone know any good marks :crazy:
