hi guys, im just looking to by a new rod a beachcaster, could anyone recomend a good reliable make?

Depends how much you want to spend.
You won't go far wrong with Zziplex, conflex or century.
If you give a budget some guys on here will give you a guide for the best rods new or secondhand i'm sure.

Ive just invested in a century cccld, an absolute joy to use, the quality of the build is brilliant and it casts like a dream, its so good infact i have brought another one!
I would imagine that this quality and ease of use is continued across their range, check out their products right ups on line, their right up on the cccld is exactly as i found it, hope this helps

Picked mine up second hand for £110, really good condition. Keep your eye on the sales section on here or ebay etc, always some good kit for sale.
On ebay, if your lucky you'll have someone who doesnt know the true value of what they have and you'll get a steal, seen it done a few times now

Dont spend £100 on a fishing rod, you will only want to change it in 6 months time, trust me I did it and it ended up costing a fortune first buying rods for £50 then 100 etc all the way up to the ones I use now. Having said that a friend of mine who only goes beach casting once in a blue moon has bought himself a pair of FOX rods and for the price about £150 each I think they are great for clean beaches and mixed ground.

stick to something around 12 foot or so milo,as your still a young nipper dont get anything too heavy in weight or to stiff in action. a second hand tip tornado maybe or abu xodus would suit you ,zzilpex powertex bass  :win: but prob a bit pricey but sooooooo worth it ;D a hundred quid is a decent amount to get a quality bit of kit nipper so dont think you gota settle for junk . i will keep my eyes open incase something suitable crops up have you considered a decent bass rod, these will cast upto 4oz and are a great nippers type mini beachcaster . offer kingcrackoff a oner for both his ccc ;D :win: :crazy: |

Didnt realise you were a youngun Moilb. Like BK 16 says go for something decent but light weight. If you can find a decent one try the Diawa supercast paul kerry series. They are getting old now but they are excelent rods to learn to cast with and even held the world record at one stage! got knows how with such a light rod but he managed it!
