I've been living and fishing on Hayling for 18 months and I've been very impressed by the quantity of fish and sizes. My prized catch was a 6lb wild sea-trout. I've also caught a 7lb bass, a 6lb bass, a 5lb bass, two 4lb bass, a couple of 3lb bass, a 3lb smoothound and a nice 2lb bream. Not forgetting my 39 mackerel in one session. I've caught many more species, such as red mullet, dogfish, eel, gilthead, dab and a 1 and half pound whiting. A really unusual one from here was a cuckoo wrasse. If I've forgotten any, I do apologise! I'm sure Eccles will have informed you all of most of them anyway! Well that's made me feel good! All I need now is my double figured fish, and that'll be the icing on the cake. Fishfingers out. ;D

Will do mate, as soon as I've got something to report.... Eccles has mentioned you many times to me, we're still after that elusive sole. If we try and get the bait stuck to the floor anymore we're gonna end up in Australia. We'll probably catch an Australian sole!

Right that's done it! No more reports from me if he is going to do them, I am dead jealous now. He always catches more stuff than I do but he ain't had a sole or a red gurnard yet. I have told him not to talk about our secret hot spots but he probably will so I need to watch his posts really carefully. How can I become a moderator so I can delete his posts if he gets out of line?
