as slippery knows, i'm a new convert to the slosh20, i bought a used one while on me hol's, slippery actually swayed me to parting with the cash, it's the older version (sl20sh) but is a fantastic reel, casts well, reteive feels so powerful and smooth compared to my mag elite's, has a reassuring clicking noise as you wind in, a nice drag (100% better than my mag elites) and a ratchet, which is great for bass fishing, my next new reel will defo be the 20shV ! I would hurry up cause they are deleting them so I have been told very soon!! had it delivered last weekend, only used it the once, but it's a fantastic reel, as you say, almost too fast, think i need to put som thicker oil in, though i do thibnk i had the spool too full, have just stripped 30yrds off, about 3mm below the spool lip now, will have another go this week sometime, the drag is improved (if that was possible!) too. i regret selling the old slosh now, shoulda sold a mag elite instead !

Just treated myself also, I agree it is fast but getting use to it, still using my old SL20Sh on the other rod but the new one is so much smoother. I think I've fallen in Love! ;D

i had a look at one of the sl20sh today, they looked pretty small actually could put my fingers over it easy. i am deffo thinking about a slx20shv but will i get the same distance (or maybe more) with it as my penn 525? I can get it further than my penns its a better reel in my opinion by miles....

It would make a ok reel for light uptiding on the boat but its really a beach reel. I have mine filled with 18lb on one and 20lb on the other they are fine, a really good reel. I use mine for big baits and small baits on all beaches...

Hi all, just been reading your comments. Have checked with a few of the online dealers and i've found the SL20v and the SLX20SHA--- but no SLX20SHV is this the same reel do you think? Best price so far 89-99 plus postage.

Sorry, one more question, does the slx20sha sit as high on the butt as the older slosh? - I have'nt see one yet and i'm told that it might not suit smaller hands on longer casts, assuming i ever manage to make one. Haha!
