rob is kindly sending me a couple or three, some of the new ones as well to field test and report,i will of course enlist the help of coddo for this monumental task, chesil being just one of the many planned venues for this expedition into the use of bait capsules, yup i did say capsules as i plan to test the Dvice against this contraption i saw in a local(ish) tackle shop, although the Dvice is already one point ahead as i know it will take a whole calamari squid....this thing would struggle with HALF a squid.....results should be coming as soon as poss

I've ordered 5, but they work out over £4 each with postage. I'll only be using them over clean ground, expensive to lose (few marks need distance though on the IOW, and none of the rough ground marks so it should be good).

Adam (reelbargains) used to use the baitsafe regularly, I used them many moons ago, they used to work well for getting fragile baits out a distance, good casting design. I expect the Dvice is an improvement on it though.

right of bexi carpark (as far as i can be assed to walk) or possibly Coggers is where im heading. yesterday, i went for a drive to burton bradstock, upon arriving at the carpark i had a quick chat to some guy getting gear out of his car and the carpark bloke, carpark bloke reckons he had 2 at cogdon at the weekend. water was abit coloured for my liking but looked better further out. then i walked to cogdon itself and back! nice walk that!

Used to be a big fan of Baitsafes used them most of the time. When you test the Dvice be interested to know how they hold bottom, the Baitsafe wasn't great even with the wires supplied. Also one of the things I really liked about the Baitsafe was it acted as a weight lift on retrieve, not sure if that was by design, but would be good to know if the Dvice does the same.
Cheers

I agree with the above. Used baitsafes many times years ago, still have a few. Good points Bait presentation - no burst worms or slipper limpet on cast Ground bait - add a few limpet to the enclosure and then when it opens instant ground bait. Hit a big cast and they fly out similar to practising with just a weight. When winding in it lifts off ground so doesn't get snagged
Bad points Because they're large they move around alot in the tide. Also pick up quite a bit of weed Price especially if prone to crack offs.
