Advertised as the best line in the USA - yeah right Used it in Orford, rough ground, shinlge and quite demanding for any line. Within 3 /4 casts - the bloody line had delaminated and looked like a christmas tree Swapped back to Ulitma Red Ice, no problems all night with it - worked a treat

I think the thin trilene is aimed more at fresh water fishing but the big game is one of the best all round lines out there. The 15lb breaks at 20 odd lb even when knotted and the 18lb is near on unbreakable certainly 25lb+ before it even thinks of snapping. I use it for all of my medium-rough ground work, the hi vis green seems to be the best of the bunch even though as soon as it gets dark it suddenly stops being hi vis! I recon I get about twice the number of rigs back from the rough stuff with big game than with any other brand of line.

agreed rob have used tri line hi-vis on and off for years for heavy fishing as reel line and i call it tow rope......strong as can be ! use 50 to 70 lb big game for rigs and never had a problem ..... the trouble with super thin lines is they just dont take any knocks or abrasion .

That's nice of you mate, but as of above this Big game seems to be the business, I have never used it and will try it on the threads recommendations, don't matter if I don't like it as I get through a lot of line anyways.
Seen some in the local tackle shop but they want nearly £15 a spool, how much do you lads pay for it as that seems ridiculously high?
cheers lighty

Thin lines and sea angling don't mix, even if the line is rated mega high breaking strain (in fact, that stuff is usually worse because it's pre-stretched, brittle normal monofil labelled up as the dog nadgers but in fact it's closer to cats ass ) lighty - have you tried suffix tritanium clear? I paid 30 quid for 2540 metres of 25lb, but it's very nice stuff failing that, Daiwa sensor is good

Cheers Adam (how ya doing) I use Sensor a lot, but the abrasion resistance is quite low, but its cheap!
I have used Suffix 80lb leader and found the abrasion resistance very bad (one sesh and it was like sandpaper so I stay away from Suffix. Have heard some good and some bad reports about Berkley big game,so thought that I would give it a try, but not at £15 a spool
