I've bought enough of the stuff over the years but every time I seem to have it on my tackle shopping list theres a new revolutionary hybrid recommended. This post stems from another post in the bad review catergory, could anyone recommend a 15 - 18 lb mainline thats actually proven itself by remaining a firm favourite for some length of time? Cheers Pete

Quite surprised about the F1 line failing , it has quite a following out there , bit pricey though..

suffix tritainum in clear, nice line, its my favourite, rough diamond is fantastic for knot strenght & abrasion but can be hard to find, one i do not like is diawa sensor, yes its usable but its got some real memory probs, coils ville! A few anglers I know swear by red ice or black ice and its been around for a while, i like it, but prefer tritainum. Both have never failed me.

I was suprised about the F1, It was the line in the tackle shop that was always recommended but I could never justify the price! Bill

For the money/reputation/toughness i would suggest red ice! Thats one hell of a tough line!
