Really nice flies the prawn type is really good! also a great small squid fly.Used to catch a fair small squid with the sand eel net about an inch long.You not tied any round a small rubber delta eel worked really well tied in black ghost style the colour combo works well as a fry lure but in my opinnion is cheating using the delta.The blackghost tied in a sivler body black thread would be a ace saltwater fry lure. What weight were they? Have never had a Double (9lb 12oz is biggest) As I am retired I do not mind mi-week or weekend

In 47 yrs have never chucked a bit of fluff as it looks like organised birdsnesting to me.......... but ....sod it........in for a penny. The Mullet down the end of Hurst Castle have always looked like fly snatchers........!!!!!! Any dates in mind..!!!!!!! Gazza

Do you fancy a little trip to Meon Springs as well Andy? Love to fish Alvington thats my perfect place big fish would rather be dropped in the deep end ;D Only rod I have is a bob church x weave alvington mk 11 6/8 wt and a rimfly reel are they any good? Andy

If you're planning a SWFF meet where there will be a number of novices present I would suggest late June. There'll be plenty of hungry schoolies around then, as well the chance of Mackerel, Gars and Pollock and the weather should be more settled, especially the wind.

id be up for a pond season of fluff chucking, got to practice my casting .. the only place iv done it was at "john a gunts" out romsey way, so im easy with where ever we go

Looks like we've got a few that are up for a freshwater session...... would think for those that aren't experienced that Avington and Dever Springs are a little too adventurous and expensive...... but upto you!!!!
