I give up!!! lighty Is that the one you lent me after i snapped my grx-s mate? Nice rod! Was a bit nerve racking casting a loaned rod just after snapping one lol

i haven't got a large collection of rods or reels for that matter but i use a greys GRX - S with a 6500 mag hi speed for clean ground (even though i have snapped one like solehunter) but if i could i'd like to get a super cast with 525, maybe an appollo for rough ground with a slosh 30 or abu 7000 and a greys BZE for bass and flattie fishing.

having built up abit of a collection in my 8 years of beach fishing, it's nice to be able to go through phases of use. :gay: at the moment my rods of choice are: Penn viper mk1 Abu suveran sx (currently undergoing a re-furb) and my recently purchesed Greys triplex 16ft for slightly heavier fishing i use an Abu Xodus i still sometimes whip out the egg whisk and use my first proper beach rod, my Penn powerstick surf :dunce: i also pair my 5500 up with my daiwa TDSB bass rod on the odd occasion!

A pair of Zippy TF 50/50s for everything. I cant get to grips with using different rods for different occasions. I find that you should find a good rod and stick with it. I`ve had eels knocking on 30lb on my zippies with no drama and also can see bites from pouting at 150yds. I have just picked up a pair of Kompressor S`s to use in the field (cheers Mick) and if I get on alright with them the Zippies may appear on the for sale section.
