Unfortunately my right arm is not working as it should do , i can no longer write, stir a cup of tea or reel in, so I have had to become left handed. I know you don't like ABU but who makes a left handed multiplying reel? As for ABU I have never had to use there customer support so i can't comment, although I still have a 7000 that was bought around 1969 in full working order not like me.

must be dificult to change arms, I will admit to quite often trying flicking one out left handed and all your sense of timing and feel goes straight out the window.........

With yout prob Ant I woulda thought a F/S wouls have been the obvious choice to reel in with your good hand mate. Either that or have your reel down and control the spool with your left hand and just use your right arm to hold the weight of the rod...... Dont worry Ant ....My backs crap so ive got a lot to learn about casting too mate........and short walks to venues too..!!! Tch I dunno and theres me thinking all along that ABU were sposed to be the "dogs"..!!! just goes to show Gaz

Got nothing to do at the mom. so another little post: I happen to have an all carbon ABU 9' 6" uptider which is 6 years old, unbroken and has been used to fire 4 oz leads over 100 yds. Mainly it is used for mackerel feathering, lure fishing and close in work however, which is why I bought it in the first place (it has never been on our boat in it's life). I love that little rod and it has taken some interesting stuff in it's time (7lb bass) but I expect Slip will say they made them better then. (LOL)
